From the publisher

The Universal Waite Tarot Deck — Premier Edition pairs Pamela Colman Smith’s classic Rider-Waite-Smith drawings with Mary Hanson-Roberts’ gentle recoloring. The familiar symbolism remains intact while the softer, more nuanced palette makes the deck especially approachable for beginners, study, meditation, and everyday readings.

  • Beginner-friendly Rider-Waite-Smith structure: traditional scenes and symbolism work well with many tarot books and courses
  • Recolored by Mary Hanson-Roberts: serene color work adds clarity and visual warmth without changing the original compositions
  • Premier Edition extras: includes a 36-page booklet and an 18" × 20" tarot spread sheet with spaces for a 10-card Celtic Cross spread
  • Full 78-card deck: standard tarot card size of approximately 2.75" × 4.75"
  • Artist / recoloring: Mary Hanson-Roberts
